The Cottonseed Oil Solvent Extraction Process:
Pre-pressed cake - solvent extraction- wet meal desolventizing - mixed oil evaporation - solvent condensation recovery - crude cottonseed oil
The main equipment of cottonseed oil solvent extraction plant: cottonseed oil extraction system (extractor), wet meal desolvatizing system (evaporation tower), mixed oil evaporation system (condenser, evaporator, stripper), solvent recovery system.
After pretreatment, cottonseed can be pre-pressed. Usually, in the whole cotton oil production line, the residual oil rate of the cake after pre-pressing is about 7%. The cake is transported to cottonseed oil solvent extraction plant for further processing to extract more cottonseed oil.
Solvent extraction is an oil production method that applies the principle of solvent extraction, selects an organic solvent (n-Hexane) that can dissolve grease, and brings it into contact with the oil cake - soaking or spraying, so that the grease in the oil is dissolved. After cottonseed oil solvent extraction process, the residual oil rate is as low as 1%. Then sent crude cotton oil to cottonseed oil refinery plant to get high quality cotton oil.
