What are the Factors that Affect Oil Yield in Oil Refining Machine?

Oil extracted from raw materials by pressing and extracting is called crude oil. The main component of crude oil is triglyceride, and other components are collectively called impurities. The main function of oil refining machine is to separate and remove these impurities from crude oil to improve the edible quality and storage stability of oil. When separating impurities, it will inevitably cause loss, which will affect the oil yield. The factors causing loss are as follows:

1. Alkali refining loss

1) Loss caused by removing colloid, free fatty acids, moisture, impurities, etc. in crude oil;

2) Loss caused by saponification and emulsification of neutral oil during the treatment process;

2. Decolorization loss

Mainly caused by the absorption of oil by waste clay during adsorption decolorization, the oil content of waste clay should be reduced as much as possible.

3. Deodorization loss

Including the distillation and volatilization loss of fatty acids and small molecular aldehydes, ketones, unsaponifiable substances such as sterols and vitamin E, and triglycerides during the deodorization process; the splashing loss of oil during the stripping process. 4. Losses caused by running, bubbling, dripping, and leakage due to improper operation during the production process.

The loss of oil accounts for a considerable proportion of the production cost. Manufacturers need to clearly understand the causes and influencing factors of the loss during cooking oil production process, and control them to reduce the cost of oil production.
