Soybean embryos should meet the following requirements:
1. The more complete the cell destruction, the better.
2. The embryos are thin and firm, with small powder degree. In this way, the extraction distance is short, the contact area between the solvent and the embryo is large, which is conducive to improving the extraction efficiency. The direct soybean oil extraction method requires the embryo thickness to be 0.2-0.3mm.
3. Appropriate moisture. The solvent of oil extraction is insoluble in water. If the moisture in the embryo is high, the internal gap is filled with water, which will affect the penetration of the solvent and the dissolution of the oil. Therefore, the moisture content of the embryo should be low. (<13%, 5-7%)
4. Appropriate temperature. The embryo temperature is high, the oil viscosity is low, it is easy to flow, and the leaching effect is good. However, it should be noted that the embryo temperature should not exceed the boiling point of the solvent to avoid vaporizing the solvent. Therefore, the embryo temperature is generally controlled at 45-55℃, and should not exceed 60℃.
