Pressed canola oil includes cold-pressed oil and hot-pressed oil. Cold-pressed oil retains more nutrients, but the oil yield is low and the production cost is high. Hot-pressed canola oil is produced by frying canola in a cooking pot during the pretreatment of canola raw materials. Cooking can control the moisture and heat of canola oil, soften plant fibers, reduce the amount of slag during the canola oil pressing process, increase oil yield, and make the oil clearer.

The canola oil pressing production process is as follows:

Canola raw materials—cleaning and de-stone—softening—flaking—cooking—pressing—crude canola oil

Pretreatment is to clean the canola raw materials, screen out impurities such as sand and stone, plant roots and stems in the raw materials, reduce the wear of impurities on the canola oil equipment and the impact on the quality of oil; softening, flaking, cooking can destroy the original organizational structure of the oil and fully improve the oil yield of the oil.

Crude canola oil processing into finished oil also requires canola oil refining machine to refine and remove impurities. Different canola oil refining processes are required according to the different grades of canola oil. First-grade canola oil needs to go through the "six-de" process, namely degumming, deacidification, dehydration, decolorization, deodorization, and dewaxing. After these six processes, it can reach the national standard for first-grade canola oil. Lower-grade canola oil, such as grade three and four, only needs to go through degumming and deacidification to meet the standard.
